Turn it on

  1. 1

    The organizer turns it on

The person who made the group opens the group's settings (the gear) and turns on Track everyone. Leave it on Auto: it picks a rate that suits your group and keeps messages getting through.

Good to know

  • Every position shows how old it is. Live positions are the lowest priority, so they slow down when the group is busy messaging.
  • Keep the map or chat open to keep sharing. It stops when you're on another screen or the app is closed.
  • Faster rates use more battery and airtime. Every 30 seconds or slower is gentler on a big group.
  • Live tracking off? Tap + in the chat, then Locations, to ask everyone to send where they are right now.
