Try Signum on your Android phone.

Signum is in testing on Google Play, so it takes three quick steps instead of one. It's free, with no account to make.

Three steps, about two minutes

    Join the testers group

    Open the group and tap Join group. Use the Google account that's on your phone.

    Become a tester

    On Google Play's page, tap Become a tester, with the same Google account.

    Install from Google Play

    Install Signum like any other app. Updates come through Google Play by themselves.

Google Play says the app isn't found? Do steps 1 and 2 first, signed in to the same Google account as your phone, then wait a few minutes and try again.

What you can do with it

  • Without a radio. Offline maps with topo lines, aerial photos (United States) and national park maps, waypoints with a "go to" arrow, track recording and hunt unit maps.
  • With a compatible radio for each person. Your group on one map, with messages, photos, waypoints and help alerts, and no cell service needed. What you need
  • Not an emergency service. A help alert goes to your own group only.
